Interpretation
Daily sea-surface temperature averaged over the oceans between 60°S and 60°N (area-weighted, every fourth 0.25° grid point, i.e. a 1° sample). Anomaly = daily SST minus the 1991–2020 daily mean. Recent values are preliminary and may be revised by NOAA. Data: NOAA OISST v2.1, provided by the NOAA PSL, Boulder, Colorado, USA, from their website at psl.noaa.gov.
